Hi, I’m Muhammad Ahsan Saleem.

I'm an AI Engineer who builds systems that see, think, and act — from training detection models to deploying them on drones at the edge, and from designing LLM-powered analysis tools to shipping them as production services.

What I Do

Computer Vision & Edge AI I design and deploy real-time object detection pipelines that process live drone video feeds on embedded hardware. My systems run YOLO models through NVIDIA DeepStream and TensorRT on Jetson devices — where latency is measured in milliseconds and failure isn't an option.

Generative AI & Production LLM Systems I build production-grade GenAI applications — retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, LLM-powered analytical engines, agentic workflows, and knowledge graph systems — all backed by async architectures designed to handle real workloads, not demo traffic.

Selected Work

Real-Time Aerial Detection Systems: Multi-class object detection on live drone feeds using YOLO + DeepStream on Jetson edge devices, with custom oriented bounding box support.

AI-Powered Employee Intelligence Platform: A full-stack LLM system that ingests employee reports, performs weekly/monthly/quarterly analysis using structured LLM output, credibility scoring with fairness safeguards, semantic search via vector embeddings, and supervisor feedback integration — all processed asynchronously through Celery with real-time task tracking. Built with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Qdrant, Redis, and vLLM.

Background

I came into AI through Mechanical Engineering — which gave me the physics intuition and mathematical rigor that makes the math behind deep learning feel natural. I then spent time building backend systems and production GenAI tools (FastAPI, Celery, Redis, Neo4j) before moving into Gen AI and Computer Vision. The result: I don't just train models — I ship them to production on real hardware.
